Shampoo for Thinning Hair

There are a number of shampoos out there that are advertised as being for thinning hair, but they vary considerably. Some claim to give your hair new health. This does not necessarily imply that they will promote hair growth, but merely that they will ensure that the hair you have will be in good condition.
Others make greater claims such as that they stimulate the scalp and so promote hair growth.

Some, such as Redkin Densify, will aim to thicken the hair that you do have, but make no claims to cause lost hair to regrow.

There are shampoos such as Nourkin and Hair Genesis that are part of a group of products designed to be used together. These will include products that block the action DHT and so allow follicles that are affected, but not dead, to recover.

Some consist only of chemical products and others contain herbs, but look carefully at labels. Some advertising such things as saw palmetto or aloe vera may in fact contain only tiny amounts of these. Producers are required to list ingredients in order of weight so if aqua comes first and saw palmetto comes 21st, you are paying for herbal water. Phytoaxil is a 100% botanical product containing zinc and ginseng, both general stimulants, but not necessarily aimed specifically at hair growth.

Hair growth is a slow process, so if these products are going to help it will be months before results can be definitely seen. My advice is read all you can before spending your cash, and be patient.
