There are a number of shampoos on the market , but read the claims carefully. Some claim to give you healthy, glossy hair, but make no promises about hair regrowth. It is not much use having healthy hair if there is almost none to be healthy. One shampoo for instance claims that the average user will see regrowth after a few weeks, but this is a rather vague claim. Also it claims to work in both alopecia areata and alopecia androgenetica – too different conditions with different causes. It used different ways of measuring male and female loss so that it is very difficult to assess their claims. This is only one company, but it is typical of many. Closer examination of the figures revealed that about 20% of users with alopecia androgenetica ( male pattern baldness) felt it helped, which is better than none.
Some hair loss shampoos may claim to provide the perfect environment of your hair growth – which isn’t the same as saying that they promote it, because unless they act on the hair follicle itself there will be no positive results.
Nisim shampoo, is a herbal remedy and is one of only a few that has been scientifically evaluated, the manufacturers claim that 40% of the study group had significant regrowth in cases of male pattern baldness.
